Di sini ada beberapa tips ringkas untuk temuduga KPLI / DPLI.
1. Berpakaian kemas dan seperti seorang guru.
Termasuk dari segi potongan rambut. Bertali leher , pakaian berseterika dan menggunakan padanan warna yang sesuai. Maksud saya ialah padangan warna tali leher dengan baju atau pun padanan seluar dengan baju. Bagi penjawat awam, baju hendaklah berlengan panjang dan berwarna cerah. Seluar pula sebaiknya warna hitam atau biru gelap.
2. Datang lebih awal.
Samaada paling kurang 15 minit awal. Supaya anda lebih bertenang dan tidak kelam kabut. Ini kerana berkemungkinan juga tempat parking agak jauh dan mungkin penuh.
3. Susun sijl dengan teratur.
Kalau tidak silap saya paling atas mengikut susunan ialah surat kelahiran, kad pengenalan, kemudian sijil akademik yang lain. Kebiasaannya sijil akademik disusun mengikut yang paling tinggi sehinggalah yang paling rendah (cth dari sijil ijazah ke sijil PMR). Pastikan anda telah membuat salinan bagi semua sijil-sijil tersebut dan dapatkan pengesahan. Semasa saya pergi temuduga dahulu ada calon yang tidak membuat pengesahan pada sijil tersebut, tetapi ada pegawai di tempat temuga yang baik hati membuat pengesahan.
4. Soalan-soalan yang biasa akan ditanya ialah:
Terangkan secara ringkas mengenai diri kamu. Soalan boleh ditanya dalam bahasa Inggeris atau Melayu.
Falsafah pendidikan guru, plan induk pendidikan (PIPP), Nama menteri dan pengarah pelajaran.
Mengapa kamu berhenti bekerja dan sanggup menjadi guru …. Sekiranya calon pernah bekerja dan mempunyai gaji yang lumayan berbanding guru.
Apakah sumbangan yang kamu akan berikan dalam pendidikan dengan kemahiran yang kamu ada.
Sanggupkah kalau kamu akan dihantar ke Sabah atau Serawak atau sekolah luar Bandar yang serba kurang.
Pandangan anda berkenaan dengan isu semasa terutama isu yang berkaitan dengan perguruan. Contohnya isu PPSMI.
Dan banyak lagi soalan yang akan ditanya berkaitan dengan kebolehan anda dan sumbangan. Jawab soalan dengan tenang.
